Not Two-Feet Away

Time to change the razor
Time to echo
Where echoing still counts
Time to grasp the handle
Pull-my-legs-in
The young were waking-up
Like the girl singing
Who finally opens
To the wind
To the casual mimicry
The princess and the fieldstone
The forsaken tropes
Residents and mild benefactors
Fortune seems the score
I push the cat away
He circles round
Under and outside
Of the desk
Sits not two-feet away
His eyes find my eyes
With that look of hold me
With an unreasonable
Demand, with an
Unresponsive pulverization
Then the from the
Cattle-calls, usurpers in situations
Carolina bells
The crop
By God
Grows again
And so we shall eat
And so, the pterodactyl
Moving low across the mountainside
I cast the personnel
I opened and reopened
This unintended
And the cat moves
A foot closer, and
I lightly scratch his head
